My good friend as has invited to guest post at his blog at SHTFblog.com. Its a blog where the idea of what I call 'extreme reality' is watched, discussed and planned. I have been specifically been tasked with the issue of traveling post-SHTF. In which I recommend bicycles.
In previous posts at this blog I have documented my yard sale specials (1,2,3). {In the near future I will be posting the current result of the Kona, Raleigh and Peugeot fixer-uppers.} But the purpose here is to show and say that while gasoline powered automobiles fall out of common use because of fuel prices, BICYCLES should have a larger roll in local mobility. Bicycles are cheap to purchase, easy to find and easy to repair. The payoff is quick and distant travel.
